"We, as the Brotherhood Of Christ, commit to live by the principles of faith, love, integrity, and servant leadership as taught by Jesus Christ. We pledge to support and hold each other accountable, to grow in our spiritual journeys, and to serve our families, church, and community with the love and humility that reflects our Savior. Together, we will pursue a deeper relationship with The Most High God, striving to be lights in the world and faithful stewards of the good news."
Core Principles
1. Faith in Jesus Christ: The foundation of our credo is our shared faith in Jesus Christ as King, Lord and Savior, emphasizing the importance of a personal relationship with Him (John 3:16).
2. Love and Compassion: Love is at the heart of our interactions, reflecting Jesus' command to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39).
3. Integrity and Honesty: We live lives of integrity and honesty, being true to our word and transparent in our actions, as Proverbs 10:9 teaches that the man of integrity walks securely.
4. Servant Leadership: We embrace the model of servant leadership demonstrated by Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve others (Mark 10:45). We should be encouraged to serve within our families, churches, and communities.
5. Accountability and Discipline: We foster a culture of accountability to one another and to God, encouraging personal discipline in prayer, reading the Word, and living out one's faith (James 5:16, Hebrews 12:11).
6. Community and Fellowship: We highlight the importance of fellowship and community, as seen in Acts 2:42-47, where the early church shared life together. The group should be a place of support, encouragement, and mutual edification.
7. Spiritual Growth and Discipleship: We commit to ongoing spiritual growth and discipleship, encouraging each other to grow in the knowledge of the Scriptures and their application to daily life (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
8. Moral and Ethical Conduct: We uphold high moral and ethical standards, living out the virtues of the Spirit as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23, and avoiding the acts of the flesh described earlier in the chapter.
9. Mission and Evangelism: We embrace the Great Commission, encouraging members to share the good news and make disciples, starting within their spheres of influence (Matthew 28:19-20).
10. Prayer and Dependence on God: We stress the importance of prayer and reliance on God for guidance, strength, and provision in all aspects of life (Philippians 4:6-7).
